Research Agreements
Research agreements should be established for commercially sponsored research, research with collective or collaborative groups and research involving collaboration between institutions (locally and internationally).
Where WH is the sponsor or is initiating the multisite research, then we must furnish the relevant agreement to be executed by the other parties. If we are a collaborator, then the sponsoring organisation should provide the partially executed agreement for us to review and sign.
Using non WH standard agreements, or WH standard agreements with substantive changes made to them, will be subject to review by WH legal services., It is therefore encouraged that where permissible, the WH standard approved agreements be used with minimum changes to avoid unnecessary review delays.
